  2. 2. In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf.
  3. 3. One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and - pop! - out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry C a t e r p i l l a r .
  4. 4. He started to look for some food . I’m so HUNGRY!
  5. 5. On Monday he ate through 1 apple . But he was still hungry.
  6. 6. On Tuesday he ate through 2 pears , but he was still hungry.
  7. 7. On Wednesday he ate through 3 plums , but he was still hungry.
  8. 8. On Thursday he ate through 4 strawberries , but he was still hungry.
  9. 9. On Friday he ate through 5 oranges , but he was still hungry.
  10. 10. On Saturday he ate through 1 piece of chocolate cake ,
  11. 11. 1 icecream cone
  12. 12. 1 pickle,
  13. 13. One slice of Swiss cheese,
  14. 14. 1 slice of salami
  15. 15. 1 lollipop,
  16. 16. 1 piece of cherry pie,
  17. 17. 1 sausage,
  18. 18. 1 cupcake,
  19. 19. And 1 slice of watermelon. That night he had a stomachache!
  20. 20. The very hungry C a t e r p i l l a r then ate through one green leaf. He started to feel better.
  21. 21. Now, the c a t e r p i l l a r was no longer small. He was a big, fat, c a t e r p i l l a r. little BIG
  22. 22. He built a small house, called a cocoon around himself. He stayed inside for more than 2 weeks. Then he nibbled a small hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and…
